Brand building from scratch means making every decision with no history to lean on: the name, the logo, the site, the first video, the first post. The fastest way to learn it is to do it with your own money on the line. At iklipse, a creative and AI production agency working across the GCC, Egypt, the US and Europe, we have built ventures of our own, and they changed how we build brands for clients.
Two of them are Digiredo and Freyusion. Here is what each one taught us, and the habits we now bring to every new brand that walks through the door.
Digiredo let us run our whole playbook on ourselves.
Digiredo began as one of our own ventures and now operates under the iklipse umbrella. It was built as a focused creative and sales platform, and it gave us the chance to apply our full range of services internally.
We built the brand identity, led web design with an award-winning designer, and launched high-impact sales campaigns. We also handled video editing and social content, and managed the brand's LinkedIn and Instagram. Digiredo now delivers in the real world and keeps driving growth. Its video sales letter is on our Digiredo case study page.
Being the client is humbling.
When you are your own client, every slow decision costs you directly. Nabil, our founder, treats our own ventures as the agency's reminder of what a slow decision really costs. You feel how long a "quick tweak" really takes when it is your launch waiting on it.
It also showed us which pieces carry the most weight early. For a new sales-led brand, a clear website and a sharp sales video did more than any amount of polish on secondary assets.
Freyusion asked us to make technology look simple.
Freyusion is changing how brands produce photo and video content. It builds AI models trained for specific industries, giving companies a faster, more efficient way to create high-quality visuals without relying on traditional shoots.
We handled everything from logo and identity to website and video editing. The direction had to balance creative vision with technical precision. The result is a minimal, distinctive identity that works everywhere and reflects the product's sharp focus and clarity. You can see the mockups, from phone screens to posters to a billboard, on our Freyusion case study page.
Minimal identities are harder than they look.
With a technical product, the temptation is to show everything: diagrams, gradients, glowing circuits. We went the other way. A tight logo, restrained colour and plenty of space let the work the product makes do the talking. Every element that stayed had to earn its place on a phone screen and on a billboard.
Here is what building from zero taught us.
Running our own ventures left us with a short list of habits. We use them on every brand we start from nothing.
- Start with one sentence. If you cannot say what the brand does and for whom in one line, the logo will not save you.
- Design for the smallest screen first. A mark that works as an app icon will work on a building. The reverse is rarely true.
- Ship the website early. A live site with real copy teaches you more in a week than a month of mood boards.
- Make one strong video. A good launch film or sales video becomes the backbone of social, ads and pitches for months.
- Write the rules down while they are fresh. Colours, type and tone, kept in a living guide the team can use. We wrote about that in our post on living brand guidelines.
AI changed the cost of starting a brand.
Ten years ago, a new brand needed a photographer, a studio and a budget before it could show a single product. Today a founder can test visuals, explore directions and build a content library much earlier. Freyusion itself exists because of that shift.
Taste still decides the result. More options make the editing harder, and someone still has to decide which direction is right. Our AI-infused production team uses these tools to move faster, with human creative direction choosing what ships.
We bring our own scars to client launches.
When a founder comes to us with a name and a deadline, we have been in that seat. We know which decisions can wait and which ones will haunt you if you rush them. The name and the core idea deserve time. The fourth social template does not.
Our brand experiences team runs new-brand projects as one joined-up build: identity, website, launch content and the first months of social. It is the same process we used for Digiredo and Freyusion, and for client brands like Kardo TV and OCA.
Frequently asked questions about brand building from scratch.
What should a new brand build first?
A clear one-line positioning, then the name and identity, then a live website. A strong launch video comes next, since it feeds social, ads and sales.
What are Digiredo and Freyusion?
Digiredo is a creative and sales platform that began as an iklipse venture and now operates under the iklipse umbrella. Freyusion builds industry-specific AI models that help brands create photo and video content without traditional shoots. We built both brands.
How long does it take to build a brand from zero?
It depends on scope. A focused identity and website can come together in weeks, while a full launch with content and campaigns takes longer. The naming and positioning stage deserves the most time.
